A critical incident investigation is underway following the death of a man at Coffs Harbour.
About 10.45am today (Wednesday 24 May 2023), a 75-year-old man was reported missing to officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District.
About 4pm today, officers attended the man’s home to conduct inquiries.
Following inquiries, about 6.30pm, a man’s body was located on Hampshire Close.
While the body has yet to be identified, it’s believed to be the missing man.
A critical incident team from the Mid North Coast Police District will investigate all circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
The investigation will be subject to an independent review and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
