A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck in Leichhardt.
About 1pm today (Thursday 2 April 2020), police were called to Parramatta Road, Leichhardt after a report of a collision between a pushbike and large truck.
NSW Ambulance attended, but the man was unable to be saved and died at the scene.
Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) will be attending to investigate the incident.
The driver of the truck was not injured and has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Motorist are advised traffic is heavy with diversions in place, and should avoid the area where possible
