Non-government schools on the Tiwi Islands will provide status updates and/or can be contacted to confirm their status as to whether those schools will open.
Carers of school-aged children and vulnerable residents should now be released to attend to their carer responsibilities.
This follows yesterday’s announcement that Warruwi School and Mamaruni School (Minjilang) will also be closed from Friday 21 November 2025.
