A man has been charged and issued over $1200 in fines following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Berserker last night, 4 July.
Around 9.43pm Saturday, emergency services were called to the intersection of Elphinstone Street and Water Street, following reports of a crash involving a red Holden Colorado and blue MG ZST.
It is alleged the Holden then fled the scene.
Two occupants in the MG, a woman in her 30s and man in his 20s, received non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash, and were transported to Rockhampton Hospital.
The driver of the Holden, a 26-year-old Kawana man, was located at a Kawana address a short time later and taken into custody.
The man was subsequently issued three TINs for careless driving / due care and attention ($690 fine), driver involved in crash fail to fulfil duties ($345 fine) and drive/park or permit drive/park defective
vehicle (component not comply with vehicle standards) ($172 fine).
He has also been charged with one count did drive U.I.L.
The man is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 21 July.
