Police are appealing for public assistance following multiple reported incidents of dangerous driving earlier this month.
Just after 12am on 3 September, police were called to Gympie Curra Road following reports a vehicle was doing burnouts and travelling at high speeds.
Police sighted the vehicle and attempted to intercept it before it fled the scene.
Around 4am the following day, 4 September, police were called to Lindleys Lane following another report of a vehicle driving dangerously in the area.
When officers arrived on scene, they located an abandoned Ford Falcon.
Subsequent investigations identified that vehicle had been involved in the incident on 3 September, and it was seized by police.
At 10.20pm on 4 September, police were called to a property on following multiple reports a white Ford Falcon utility was being driven dangerously in the Mount Pleasant Road area.
Following further enquiries, police seized the utility from that address.
A 24-year-old Gympie man was subsequently charged with three counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, and two counts each of driving a motor vehicle without a licence, driving an uninsured vehicle, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
He is due to face Gympie Magistrates Court on 1 October.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
Police are urging anyone who may have been at Gympie Curra Road, Lindleys Lane, or Mount Pleasant Road near the intersection of Red Hill Road at the time of the alleged offences, to come forward.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision from those areas is also urged to contact police.
