Day five of Gold Coast Schoolies 2019

Police were again pleased with the crowd behaviour at the Surfers Paradise Schoolies celebrations overnight with large numbers of schoolies in and about the Surfers Paradise CBD.

There were 7 schoolies arrested on 15 offences overnight, mainly for drug offences. Of those schoolies arrested, all 7 were male.

In comparison, for the same night in 2018 there were 5 schoolies arrested.

Five schoolies were also issued with a liquor infringement notice.

There were 14 non-schoolies arrested on 26 charges, relating to public nuisance, general traffic matters, breach bail and other offences.

Police continue to remind school leavers to act responsibly.
