Day six of Gold Coast Schoolies 2019

It was a busy night in Surfers Paradise last night with a large crowd descending on the entertainment precinct for day six of schoolies on the Gold Coast.

Despite the large crowd there were only six schoolies charged on eight offences overnight, mainly relating to drug and public nuisance offences. Of the schoolies arrested; five were male and one was female.

In comparison, for the same night in 2018 there were eight schoolies arrested.

No schoolies were issued a liquor infringement notice for drinking in a public place.

Also overnight, 15 people were arrested on 28 charges which were not schoolies-related and were mainly for drug offences.

There were also no non-schoolies who were given liquor infringement notices.
