Police are investigating after the body of a man was located deceased on a road in Reedy Lake early this morning.
Investigators have been told a vehicle was travelling north on the Murray Valley Highway when it struck an object on the road just before 2.30am.
He driver of the car stopped and located the yet to be identified man, deceased on the road.
The driver of the car was uninjured and is helping police with their enquiries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
The Murray Valley Highway will remain closed between Kerang and Lake Charm until further notice.
