Detectives charge man after investigation into supply of MDMA and cocaine, NSW

A man will appear in court today charged by Criminal Groups Squad detectives as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of cocaine and MDMA across Sydney.

In 2019, detectives from the Criminal Group Squad established Strike Force Medgun to investigate the activities of a criminal syndicate believed to be involved in the supply of prohibited drugs.

As part of their investigations, strike force detectives executed four search warrants at St Clair, Wentworth Point, and Zetland in February this year.

Following further inquiries, officers charged a 29-year-old man and 33-year-old woman. They both remain before the courts.

As part of ongoing investigations, strike force investigators arrested a 30-year-old man at Bristol Street, Merrylands West, just after 7am on Thursday 14 May 2020.

He was taken to Granville Police Station and charged with deemed supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and take part supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity).

Police will allege in court that the man was involved in the supply of cocaine and MDMA between November and December last year.

The South Wentworthville man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Wednesday 8 July 2020).

Investigations under Strike Force Medgun are continuing.

Anyone with information about the supply of prohibited drugs is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
