Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a robbery in Coburg earlier this month.
Investigators have been told two victims were walking on Sydney Road near Urquhart Street when they were approached by two men at 2.30pm on Thursday 19 March.
One of the men threatened the victims and told them to empty out their wallets.
Both victims attempted to walk off when they were grabbed by the offenders and assaulted.
One of the victims had their mobile phone stolen before both offenders ran off.
Detectives have released images of two men who they believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.
