Todd Fuller KC has been appointed Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)
Respected prosecutor Todd Fuller KC has been appointed Queensland’s Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Mr Fuller was appointed Crown Prosecutor in1989 and has served as full-time Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions since 2016.
He was called to the Bar in 1989 and took silk in 2010.
Mr Fuller has a wealth of knowledge of the administration of justice in Queensland, having appeared throughout the State, including in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Chambers based in Ipswich.
He has accumulated extensive experience across every aspect of the criminal justice system at every jurisdictional level.
Mr Fuller has appeared in significant Supreme Court criminal trials and complex matters before the Court of Appeal.
He has also appeared as leading counsel before the Magistrates, Coroners, Mental Health, Childrens and District courts as well as before the High Court of Australia.
Widely sought after for his professional expertise, Mr Fuller is a member of the Bar Association of Queensland and serves on the University Relations Committee, the New Bar Committee and the Continuing Legal Education Committee and is a long-term member of the Griffith Law School Visiting Committee.
Outside the legal profession, Mr Fuller is President of the Brisbane Hockey Association.
Mr Fuller commences in his role on 19 February 2024 for a five-year term.
