This year’s theme, “Truth Be Told”, highlights the important role libraries play in helping people access trusted information, build digital skills, connect with their community, and discover lifelong learning opportunities.
Organised annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), Library and Information Week shines a spotlight on the essential services libraries provide beyond their shelves. From supporting literacy and digital inclusion to creating welcoming community spaces, libraries continue to be trusted hubs for learning, creativity and connection.
While borrowing books remains at the heart of what we do, the Fremantle Library offers so much more. Whether you’re looking for digital resources, family-friendly activities, workshops, or a quiet place to write or read, the library is a space for everyone.
Get involved in a range of free activities and experiences, including:
- Interactive Library Activities
Drop in and enjoy puzzles in the main library space, children’s colouring activities, bookmarks and information about Library and Information Week.
- Treasure Hunt Challenge
Community members can take part in a week-long treasure hunt, with prizes up for grabs.
