A Whitsundays woman had the best start to her weekend after becoming a newly-minted millionaire in Friday’s Weekday Windfall draw.

The Queenslander held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4775 on Friday 30 October 2026. She collected $1 million.

After missing a call from us on Saturday morning, the winner spotted a text message and went straight to The Lott app to investigate.

“I saw the text message after I missed your call. I jumped into the app to have a look,” she said.

“I was very shocked. I had my family with me and I was thinking, ‘Does that say what I think it does?’.

“It has derailed my day… in a good way! It was all a bit crazy, but now we’ve settled down and it’s starting to sink in.

“I’ve always liked to play the Monday, Wednesday and Friday draws. I tend to play them rather than the jackpot games.”

The million-dollar prize means the winner and her family can wave goodbye to their mortgage and start planning their next move.

“It will mean we won’t have a mortgage any more. It will take the pressure off,” she said.

“We have been thinking about moving for a while, so this means we can find something a bit better.

“It’s amazing!”

The woman’s winning 5-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
