Police are investigating a single vehicle crash at Kingston this morning where a man was injured.
Police were on patrols in the Kingston area at the time and observed a black Commodore travelling at speed on the Huon Highway at around 3.30am.
Shortly after, emergency services responded to the crash involving the vehicle at the roundabout intersection between the Huon Highway off ramp and Summerleas Road.
The driver of the vehicle – a man in his 40’s – was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police remain at the scene conducting a crash investigation.
All traffic intending to travel west on Summerleas Road towards Fern Tree will be unable to do so until the crash investigation is completed at the scene.
If anybody witnessed the crash or the vehicle beforehand, or has dashcam footage, they are asked to contact police on 131 444 and quote ESCAD 31-02112026.
As is normal practice, a Professional Standards investigation will also be conducted into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
