DRIFT through Main Ridge to feast of arts and culture

The Pig & Whistle, Main Ridge

The Pig & Whistle (aka The Pig), Main Ridge, is mostly known for its warm hospitality experience and the best British pub meals on The Mornington Peninsula. The pub surroundings are exquisite with beautiful gardens, landscaped lawns, a children’s play area, and a view that’ll have you wanting to set up camp the moment you arrive.

More recently, the newly transformed machinery shed (now known as The Shed Theatre), has been the talk of the town. The Shed is a multi-purpose space hosting an array of entertainment including live music concerts, cabaret, comedy, burlesque and so much more.

The Pig is proud to be presenting an array of entertainment and cultural activities as part of the first ever moving festival, the DRIFT Arts Festival. DRIFT has been launched as a response to the communities desperate need for connection, music, visual arts and culture after the big lockdown lulls of 2020 and 2021.

The program consists of an eclectic mixture of entertainment including a burlesque and cabaret show titled ‘Shimmy in The Shed’ (tickets selling fast), a rock school program for participants with a disability (includes a rock star show experience and all-abilities choir), an open rehearsal by the Southern Peninsula Choir, Creative Workshops with Elusive Creative and The Rogue Potters and live music by Melbourne’s very own Delsinki who is coming down in celebration of his new album City/Country. Supporting Delsinki, is local singer-songwriter Holly Hebe.
