A drink driver blew a staggeringly 0.302 at Port Lincoln yesterday afternoon.
Police received information from the public about an intoxicated driver at Port Lincoln about 3.15pm on Saturday 2 May.
A few minutes later, police located the vehicle on St Andrews Terrace, Port Lincoln.
The driver, a 43-year-old Port Lincoln woman, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.302 – more than six times the legal limit.
Police checks revealed she was also currently disqualified from driving.
Also of concern to the officers, the driver had a toddler in the car with her at the time. Police will notify the Department for Child Protection.
She was reported for drink driving, driving while unlicensed and disorderly behaviour and will be summonsed to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court at a later date.
She was also issued with an additional 12 month loss of licence and had her car impounded for 28 days.
