Drug search at Ridgehaven

A man was arrested after police seized drugs, cash, a taser and air rifle from a Ridgehaven address this morning.

About 10am on Friday 8 December, detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Branch, with the assistance of SAPOL’s Dog Operations Unit (Police Dog Winter and handler), seized approximately 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, mobile phones, a taser, an air rifle and cash from a Ridgehaven home.

The occupant, a 30-year-old man, was arrested and charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and possessing a firearm without a licence.

Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson, Officer in Charge, Serious and Organised Crime Branch said, “People who choose to traffic in illicit drugs need to understand that they will be found and held to account for the harm and misery they bring to our communities.”

The arrested man was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 21 February.
