Prahran Police are investigating after a local 86-year-old male pedestrian was hit by a car this morning in South Yarra.
Police were told the South Yarra man was struck by a blue Volkswagen Golf at a pedestrian crossing on Toorak Road, just after 8am.
The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police have spoken with the 62-year-old driver who is assisting police with enquiries.
Investigations remain ongoing.
