Ellenbrook Central’s vibrant $63 million shopping centre expansion was unveiled last week, with much-loved retailer Kmart and Saivon’s hair salon the newest outlets to open.

The expansion brings an addition 20 retailers to the shopping centre and welcomed back returning retailers Cutting Edge Butchers and Ellenbrook Fresh, with another 10 stores and eateries to open in spring.

City of Swan Mayor Kevin Bailey, who attended the official opening, said the expansion supports the growth of Ellenbrook and contributes towards making the City a better place to live and work.

“Ellenbrook is one of the nation’s fastest-growing catchments in Perth’s north-east growth corridor, with population growth averaging 12 per cent per annum since 2011,” he said.

“The shopping centre expansion is important to our community and local economy; providing Ellenbrook residents with convenient retail and dining options close to home and a boost to local jobs.”

The expansion created 120 jobs during construction and a further 380 retail jobs.

Shoppers can find more information about Ellenbrook Central on their website, and learn more about the benefits of shopping locally.
