An Emergency Alert message has been issued by Aurukun Shire Council to the Aurukun community.
The message advises the community that they will be affected by Tropical Cyclone Trevor and will be affected by strong winds and heavy rainfall throughout the day.
Residents are advised to stay inside until the cyclone has passed.
