“There is no climate emergency. Climate science has degenerated into a discussion based on beliefs, not on sound self-critical science,” according to CLINTEL‘s Climate Declaration[1], representing 1,000 scientists[2], founded in 2019 by emeritus professor of geophysics Guus Berkhout and science journalist Marcel Crok.
The current energy crisis could have been avoided if policy makers had fact checked the claim that the trace of man-made carbon dioxide (ie ’emissions’) in the atmosphere – just 0.0012%[3] – really drives global warming aka climate change. It is an uncontested fact that the total carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is a mere 0.04%. It’s mostly nitrogen – 78.08% and oxygen – 20.95% = 99.03%; the rest is made up of traces of argon, xenon, neon, hydrogen, helium, krypton … and that smear of carbon dioxide, 0.04%.
Melbourne based climate data analyst Dr. John McLean, whose PhD thesis is titled “Prejudiced authors, prejudiced findings”, claims that the climate data being used to propagate warming theories is essentially unreliable. He describes carbon dioxide emission mitigation policies as “a solution in search of a problem”.
The primary message in Professor Ian Plimer’s 600 page book, Green Murder (Connor Court), is that it has never been shown that carbon dioxide drives global warming.
Dr. Richard Lindzen, former MIT Professor of Atmospheric Science and past IPCC contributor, says “the narrative of climate alarm … is pretty absurd. Many people (though by no means all) have great difficulty entertaining this possibility. They can’t believe that something so absurd could gain such universal acceptance.”
In Lindzen’s online lecture in April 2021, hosted by the Irish Climate Science Forum (ICFS) in cooperation with Climate Intelligence Lindzen observed: “For about 33 years, many of us have been battling against climate hysteria.” Among other things, said Lindzen, “we have correctly noted the absence of evidence for increased extremes, hurricanes, etc. and so on.”
Acclaimed climatologist Dr Judith Curry wrote in a Madrid paper (on the eve of COP25): “We have been told that climate change is an ‘existential crisis.’ However, based upon our current assessment of the science, the climate threat is not an existential one, even in its most alarming hypothetical incarnations. However, the perception of manmade climate change as a near-term apocalypse has narrowed the policy options that we’re willing to consider.”

A group of 33 current and former Fellows of the Geological Society of London (GSL) wrote an open letter to their president in 2018, stating that: “The IPCC position matches observations that almost half of the warming that has occurred over the last 150 or so years since industrialisation, had already happened by 1943, well before the rapid rise of industrial CO2. This difference of opinion is critical, for if CO2 did not cause the pre-1943 warming, the claimed consensus that Catastrophic AGW is caused by human CO2 emissions since the Industrial Revolution, which is supported by GSL, must be mistaken.
“As this letter makes clear, it is not true that 97% of scientists unreservedly accept that AGW theory is fixed, or that carbon and CO2 are ‘pollutants’ and their production should be penalised; how can the primary nutrient in photosynthesis be a pollutant? We also note that 700 scientists have made submissions to the US Senate expressing dissent from the consensus and 166 climate scientists issued a challenge to Ban Ki Moon on the eve of the Copenhagen Climate Summit in 2009 to provide proof of human induced global warming, which he did not do.”

June 23, 2022 marks the 33rd anniversary of the launch of the anthropogenic global warming scenario with the testimony of James Hansen of NASA in the US Senate committee. (Hansen later compared coal freight trains to trains carrying victims to extermination camps.) Senator Tim Wirth scheduled the hearing on a day forecast to be the hottest in Washington that summer. In addition, Wirth later admitted, he had sabotaged the air-conditioning the previous night, hoping to ensure the TV cameras could show everyone sweating in the heat.
