Enjoy something more with ChooseCBR

Customers can start using their ChooseCBR vouchers at more than 560 participating businesses from tomorrow, giving them up to $80 each day to spend at local business and enjoy more of what Canberra’s small business community has to offer.

With $2 million worth of digital vouchers now available to spend, ChooseCBR will provide a boost to the ACT economy during the quieter winter months.

From Wednesday 9 June, customers who have signed up to the program will each day get:

  • $10 off when they spend $20 or more
  • $20 off when they spend $40 or more
  • $50 off when they spend $100 or more

Minister for Business and Better Regulation Tara Cheyne encouraged the more than 50,000 customers to jump online to explore and discover the huge variety of participating businesses ahead of the vouchers going live on Wednesday morning.

“ChooseCBR is about giving our incredible, innovative, hard-working small businesses a boost, and with businesses registered from Hall to Calwell, from Fyshwick to Weston Creek, there’s something for everyone,” Minister Cheyne said.

“And with $80 of vouchers available each day, this is an opportunity to treat yourself, to enjoy more, to visit an old favourite, and to discover or try something—or somewhere—new.

“More businesses are signing up every day, so it’s worth checking back to the website regularly,” she said.

Minister Cheyne said the program was a great way for businesses to attract new customers and get existing customers spending more.

Interested businesses can still sign up if they haven’t already, and they will be sent a Business Toolkit to help promote their participation to customers looking to choose local with their ChooseCBR vouchers.

ChooseCBR will run from Wednesday 9 June until the $2 million in funding is expended.

Anyone aged 18 or over, from Canberra or interstate, can sign up to get their vouchers now at choosecbr.act.gov.au.
