The City of Casey is seeking an Independent Member for its Audit and Risk Committee for a three-year term starting December 2025.
About the Committee:
The Audit and Risk Committee is an independent advisory group established under the Local Government Act 2020. The purpose of the Audit and Risk Committee is to support Council in discharging its oversight responsibilities relating to:
- Financial and performance reporting
- Risk management
- Protection and control of Council assets
- Monitoring and review of the standard of the internal control environment
- Effectiveness of assurance activities including internal and external audits
Council’s governance practice, including compliance with its policies and legislative and regulatory requirements.
