In some cases, ASQA is empowered to approve transition periods longer than those detailed in Clauses 1.26 (a), (b) and (c) of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
In accordance with the Guidance for Providers – Learner Transition, ASQA considers transition requests, where it can be demonstrated that there would be genuine disadvantage to a cohort of learners, if such an extension was not approved.
ASQA has recently approved an extended transition period for PSP50916.
The extended training, assessment and certification issuance period for this qualification ends on 31 July 2024. It permits new enrolments and commencements in this qualification beyond 19 November 2023, however all students must have either completed or transferred to the replacement qualification by the new transition end date.
ASQA consulted with the VRQA and TAC WA for this extended transition request.
This qualification will remain on provider scopes of registration until the end of the approved extended transition period date.
