To help residents with the extra bottles, cans and large cardboard boxes that tend to appear over Christmas, Council will provide an extra recycling collection over Christmas and the New Year. The extra collection will take place on your usual bin night, from Monday, 25 December 2023 to Friday, 5 January 2024. This service will be provided on scheduled collection days including public holidays.
Bin collection days remain the same, even on public holidays.
Residents can drop off any additional recycling free of charge at the Hawkesbury Community Recycling Centre, located at the Hawkesbury Waste Management Facility, 1 The Driftway, South Windsor. Open seven days (excluding public holidays) 8am to 4pm, with the last entry at 3:45pm.

Garbage and garden organics collection
There are no changes to the garbage and garden organics collection services during the festive season. Standard services will be provided, including collections scheduled on public holidays.
