Clubs can apply for grants of up to $500,000 through the state’s Surf Club Facility Program, for projects such as first aid rooms, education rooms, and gyms.

Sport Minister Natalie Ward said surf lifesaving clubs are the hub of NSW’s coastal communities, and the funding will enable volunteers to continue their vital work in keeping people safe at the beach.

“This support will allow significant upgrades, so the 75,000 club members across the state who do such important work volunteering at our beaches can focus on saving lives.” Mrs Ward said.

Applications for the current round of funding close on 21 January 2022.
