At the helm since the establishment of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District in 2011, Kay’s transformative leadership guided the District through periods of rapid change, innovation and the most extraordinary of times.

From major health facility redevelopments, natural disasters and a global health crisis, Kay’s leadership exemplified her commitment and unwavering dedication to improving healthcare delivery in our community.

Nurturing a culture of compassion and inclusivity throughout our services, Kay’s passion for strengthening ties and improving health outcomes for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community leaves a lasting legacy with our District.

Secretary of NSW Health, Susan Pearce and District Board Chair, Peter Collins praised Kay’s compassionate and thoughtful leadership.

“Her ability to foster collaboration, engage stakeholders, and advocate for patient-centric care has been remarkable, and her leadership through the incredible challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the multiple natural disaster events the region has faced, has been exemplary,” they said.

We wish Kay a very happy retirement and thank her for her dedication and commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community.
