Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire in Langwarrin this morning.
Emergency services were called to a property on North Road to reports of the blaze, about 6.20am.
A deceased person, who is yet to be formally identified, was located inside the house.
A dog who was also found inside, was uninjured and has been taken into care.
A crime scene has been established and detectives are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the fire.
