The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic crash at Captain Creek this afternoon, 20 September.
Around 2.21pm, emergency services were called to Round Hill Road following reports a ute towing a caravan had left the road and crashed.
The driver, a man in his 70s, sustained serious injuries and was transported via helicopter to Bundaberg Hospital.
His passenger, a woman in her 70s, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
