Moira Shire Residents have one week to go before consultation on the 2024/25 Annual Budget closes this Friday 19 January.

Acknowledging the importance of community feedback, Moira Shire Council endeavours to incorporate the priorities of its residents into the forthcoming budget by actively seeking input at the initial stages of the budgeting process.

“Launched on the new engagement platform, Moira Matters, in November last year, we have seen an increased uptake in budget submissions this round. The user-friendly tools introduced to capture feedback have been well received throughout the shire and we encourage the community to feed in your ideas,” said Michael Tudball Interim CEO Moira Shire Council.

“The community’s priorities matter, and we are excited to work together to build a vibrant and resilient community. It’s important to know these comments won’t just contribute to the upcoming 2024/25 budget but will be used to shape future budgets for years to come.”

Council strives to develop a financially responsible budget while prioritising the delivery of essential services and crucial community projects.

Community has until Friday 19 January to share their priorities. Participate in the online tools on www.moiramatters.com.au/Budget-Planning or speak with our Customer Service Team to assist you with a submission by calling (03) 5871 9222.

Moira Shire Council looks forward to positive collaboration with residents, working together for a bright and prosperous future for the community.
