Firearms, drugs seized; woman charged at Cooma, NSW

A woman will face court today charged after drugs and firearms were found at a home in the Snowy Mountains yesterday.

Acting on information, about 1.35pm (Tuesday 15 December 2020), officers from Monaro Police District executed a search warrant at a home on Jerrang Avenue, Cooma.

Police seized methylamphetamine, a shortened double-barrel shotgun, a replica pistol, homemade electronic stun device and other prohibited and restricted drugs. These items will undergo forensic examination.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Cooma Police Station. She was charged with possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess unauthorised pistol, supply prohibited drug > indictable quantity, possess prohibited drug, and possess prohibited weapon.

The woman was refused bail to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court today (Wednesday 16 December 2020).
