Fill it with photos, letters, small keepsakes, or meaningful items, such as medals, jewellery or handwritten notes. You might also include journal entries, quotes or messages you wish you could share with them. Over time, this box can become a cherished reminder of your bond and a place to return to for reflection.
Hold a celebration of their life
In addition to, or instead of a traditional funeral, a celebration of life can be a thoughtful way to honour your loved one. This can take many forms: a casual gathering at home, a picnic in their favourite park or a dinner with close friends and family. Share their favourite foods, play the music they loved, tell stories, or simply spend time together in their memory. It’s a chance to celebrate the joy they brought to your life.
Plant a tree or garden
Creating a lively tribute can be a powerful symbol of ongoing life and love. Plant a tree in their name, or a start of a small garden with flowers they enjoyed. Each season of growth offers moments to reflect and feel connected.

Donating in memory of a loved one is a meaningful way to remember them and to help future generations. You may choose to support a cause they believed in, or one that supported them towards the end of their life.
