We are piloting an alternative approach to our conciliation process. The pilot will test a new Flexible Delivery Model (FDM) that aims to better meet the needs of parties to claims involving small business (with up to 49 employees) in unfair dismissal cases and general protections cases involving dismissal.
As part of the pilot, we will randomly allocate some cases to a dedicated Flexible Delivery Team. Cases allocated to the pilot will receive earlier intervention by staff case managers and conciliators. Staff will explain our processes and the potential outcomes of a case, as well as help parties to prepare for conciliation with the other side.
The principles behind the flexible model are to incorporate an agile approach to dispute resolution services. We want to adapt and respond to the changing needs of our individual users. The pilot is part of our ongoing commitment to better support small business.
