It’s Community Safety Month!
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Susan McIntyre, said the month focussed on how everyone has a role in making our community safe.
“Throughout Wyndham we want to create strong, connected and resilient communities so that you can feel safe wherever you are.”
“Council regularly undertakes a range of services and projects that improve the safety and wellbeing of all our residents.”
“Crime and policing are the responsibility of Victoria police and the State Government, we work in partnership with the police and strongly support and promotes their work in our community.”
“We also strongly support ‘Coffee with a Cop sessions’, an opportunity for community members and local traders to connect one-on-one with local police officers, to discuss community safety issues that impact them.”
“Wyndham City is also a strong supporter of Neighbourhood Watch, which has an increasing number of groups in Wyndham, demonstrating the value residents place on connecting neighbours and keeping community members safe.”
