Former officer charged over sexual and domestic violence offences, NSW

A former police officer will appear in court today charged over alleged sexual and domestic violence-related offences in Sydney’s south-west.

In January 2022, officers from Camden Police Area Command commenced an investigation after attending a property in the Macarthur Region, where they located a security camera secreted in an air conditioning duct.

The camera was seized and underwent forensic examination. Police will allege in court that a number of files were retrieved depicting female occupants of the home, who are known to the man, which were taken between March 2020 and January 2022.

Following extensive inquiries, investigators attended an address at Theresa Park about 8.40am yesterday (Thursday 9 June 2022) and arrested a 43-year-old man.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), 24 counts of film person in private act without consent – aggravated and observe person in private act without consent-aggravated.

The man was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 10 June 2022).

He is no longer a NSW Police Force employee, resigning in April 2021.
