Four people charged after extended follow in Geelong

Police have charged four people following an extended follow through Geelong yesterday afternoon.

A 30-year-old Torquay man, a 32-year-old Corio man, a 32-year-old Bell Park man and a 22-year-old Norlane woman were arrested at the scene about 2pm.

The charges follow a report to police of an allegedly stolen 4WD driving erratically in Highton about 11am.

The Corio man was charged with multiple offences including theft from motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, bail offences and possession of drugs.

The Bell Park man has also been charged with multiple offences including theft from and of motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, bail offences, drug possession as well as driving offences.

The pair were remanded overnight to appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.

The Torquay man and Norlane woman were both charged and bailed in relation to offences including the possession of drugs and weapons.

They will appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
