The Hills Shire Council is boosting business support during NSW Small Business Month this October.

Small Business Month recognises and celebrates the important contributions of small businesses to the economy and the community.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi said Council is proud to support Small Business Month, now in its seventh year, by providing FREE workshops to empower local businesses.

“Supporting small businesses is crucial for our economy, and we are proud to play a part in this effort,” Mayor Gangemi said.

“With The Hills Shire being home to a thriving community of more than 24,000 registered businesses, it is important to recognise and assist our small businesses.”

Council’s Economic Development Team is running a workshop, How to Start a Business, on Wednesday 18 October.

The NSW Government have provided funding for two other workshops on October 24 and 26. These workshops will be taught by experienced digital expert, Julie Warner, and will cover several topics that will give businesses the knowledge and tools to succeed online.
