The OK Organics Kiama Compost Giveaway returns this month, with urban residents able to pick up their free compost bags on Saturday 20 or 27 November or 6 December.
The giveaway is a thank-you to residents for their efforts using OK Organics collection service.
Residents continue to do a great job using their green-lid bins, ensuring our food scraps and other organic waste becomes compost not landfill.
All organics collected in green-lid bins goes to SoilCo in Kembla Grange to be turned into compost.
Residents in our urban waste collection areas can collect up to three of the 25 litre bags of certified AS4454 compost per household (while stocks last).
The compost is ideal for use as a soil conditioner.
The bags can be collected from the Minnamurra Waste and Recycling Facility between 8.00am and 12 noon on Saturday 20, 27 November or 6 December, or until stocks run out.
You don’t need to book but do need proof of residency such as a driver licence or rates notice.
