Free entry, deadline extended for Kingston’s OptiKA 2020

Free entry, deadline extended for Kingston’s OptiKA 2020

Kingston Art’s popular photographic competition OptiKA is on again and this year you can enter for free.

Photographers and videographers of all skill levels are invited to submit images of Kingston that respond to the creative theme of ‘Connection’.

City of Kingston CEO Julie Reid said OptiKA is an important way for Council to support the development of local and budding photographers and videographers.

“Considering the challenges our communities are currently facing, we have decided to waive this year’s entry fee and extend the deadline for OptiKA 2020,” said Ms Reid.

“We encourage you to get your entry in by midnight Monday 19 October to go into the draw to win up to $6,000 in cash prizes!”

Due to current restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne we encourage you to look to your home or garden for inspiration. How are you staying connected to the people and hobbies you care about during lockdown?

We’d love to see how you’re staying connected, while staying safe at home.
