Free entry for Perth fans to watch Matildas live

  • Free entry to Perth Rectangular Stadium and FIFA Fan Festival in Forrest Place
  • Matildas’ FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-final match to be screened at both venues from 5pm
  • Countdown is on for tonight’s match when Matildas play England

With unprecedented demand expected at the FIFA Fan Festival in Forrest Place, FIFA Women’s World Cup host venue Perth Rectangular Stadium will welcome football fans again for the screening of the Matildas’ historic semi-final match against England.

The traditional rivals will play tonight, Wednesday 16 August at 6.00pm local time.

Fans can watch the match on the two new super screens, installed as part of the $40 million venue upgrades for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Fans are invited to bring blankets and sit on the very pitch that the Matildas will play on when they compete in the Olympic Qualifiers in October or take a seat in the grandstands.

Gates 1 and 4 will be open from 5pm, one hour before kick-off. Entry is free and tickets are not required, with fans encouraged to arrive early to secure the best positions.
