Free fire recovery advice

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has progressed its Back to Business initiative, with the appointment of state coordinators for the program.

Back to Business allows producers in fire-affected regions to access up to three free one-on-one-sessions with a local farm business consultant to help put their business back on track.

Fire-affected producers can now contact the state coordinators directly to register their interest in these tailored sessions.

Sheep, cattle and goat producers located in a fire-affected postcode are eligible to apply. Producers will also need to demonstrate that they have been affected by fire.

If you are eligible to apply, discuss Back to Business with all of the decision makers in your business, and identify the topics you would like to work through with the consultant.

Topics could include financial planning, property planning, nutrition (feeding programs), herd and flock rebuilding strategies, whole farm planning, and animal health and welfare advice.

To register, contact your relevant state coordinator (see below), who will match you with a qualified and experienced local farm consultant who specialises in farm business management and understands livestock farming systems.
