Greater Shepparton City Council is calling on local community groups and not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding through Round One of the 2025/2026 Community Grants Program, which opens on Monday 14 July 2025 at 9.00am.

Council offers a range of grant categories to support grassroots initiatives that enrich the local community, promote inclusion, foster creativity, and encourage participation. The following grants are available:
- Access and Inclusion Grant – Up to $1,500 for inclusive community projects supporting people with disabilities, their families, and carers.
- Community Matching Grant – Up to $5,000 to support one-off community projects that build social connections, encourage participation and revitalise spaces.
- Community Celebrations Grant – Up to $3,000 to support small town Australia Day events between 24–29 January 2026.
- Creative City Grant – $1,000 to $5,000 for artists, creatives and community groups delivering local arts and cultural projects.
- Heritage Conservation Grant – Up to $15,000 for works that preserve, restore or enhance heritage properties.
- International Women’s Day Grant – $500 to $1,500 for events held in March 2026 recognising the contributions of women in our community.
- Minor and Major Event Grants – Minor: $500 to $2,000 | Major: $2,000 to $5,000 for events that promote community spirit, inclusion, wellbeing and regional visitation.
- Our Sporting Future Fund – Up to $30,000 for community sporting projects and initiatives that support growth and development.
- Seniors Festival Grant – Up to $500 for activities held during October 2025 that promote positive ageing and social connection.
- Small Town Festive Event Grant – $500 to $2,500 to support festive and Christmas events in small towns (populations under 10,000).
