The grant helps providers cover some of the higher costs arising from the Fair Work Commission’s 1 August 2026 wage increase for eligible aged care nurses.
Applications close at 2:00 pm Canberra time on 6 October 2026.
Funding available
The grant provides funding up to:
- 25% of the Fair Work Commission increase to leave entitlements for residential aged care providers
- 50% of the Fair Work Commission increase to leave entitlements for all other eligible aged care program providers.
Who can apply
You may be eligible if you are a registered provider delivering:
- residential aged care
- Support at Home
- Commonwealth Home Support Program
- Transition Care Program
- National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program.
Eligible Multi-Purpose Services providers will receive funding through existing funding agreements and should not apply for this grant.
