Further charges laid after death of man – Tregear

A girl will face court today charged with murder following the death of a man at a home in Sydney’s west last month.

Emergency services were called to a home on Ellsworth Drive, Tregear, about 10.30pm on Saturday 10 June 2023, after a man was found unresponsive in a bedroom.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were unable to revive the 32-year-old man and officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene.

Police allege in court that the man had been injured during a physical altercation at the home.

Mt Druitt detectives – assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad – established Strike Force Armine to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, and a 16-year-old girl have been charged over their alleged roles in the incident; they remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 16-year-old girl was arrested in Muswellbrook about 2.45pm yesterday (Thursday 27 July 2023).

She was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station, where she was charged with murder.

The girl was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Friday 28 July 2023).

Investigations under Strike Force Armine are ongoing.
