Geo-targeted SMS appeal issued to find woman missing from western Sydney

A geo-targeted SMS appeal is being issued to The Ponds / Stanhope Gardens area. If you received a text message from +61 444 444 444 this is not a scam.

Following extensive inquiries overnight and a search of western Sydney today, police are renewing their appeal for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney’s north-west.

Seema Rani, aged 37, was last seen leaving a home on Beauchamp Street, The Ponds, to go for a walk about 10.30pm yesterday (Friday 4 August 2023).

When she did not return and was unable to be contacted or located, officers from Riverstone Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Information provided to police indicate Seema may appear disoriented and/or confused, which leads police and family to hold concerns for her welfare as this is considered out of character.

Seema is described as being of Indian/Sub-Continental appearance, 160cm tall, solid build, dark complexion, long black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a red sari, cream-coloured pants, and a grey hoodie.

Seema is known to regularly walk around The Ponds and Stanhope Gardens areas.
