Major Crash are investigating an incident in Georgraphe that occurred last night, Saturday 1 June 2019.
At about 11.15 pm two bicycle riders, a man and a woman were travelling in an easterly direction along Marine Terrace when they were struck from behind by a vehicle. After striking the cyclists, the vehicle continued, in an easterly direction without stopping.
The man and woman, both in their 20’s, were treated at the scene by SJA before they were both conveyed by ambulance to Busselton District Hospital. The woman’s health deteriorated and she was airlifted to Perth due to a serious head injury. She also received a leg injury, whilst the man received minor injuries.
The vehicle involved is described a large dark coloured four wheel drive with possible windscreen damage.
