Get fit and save money thanks to Game on for Women

Metro Sports Centre fitness leader Alecia Tracey works with a client on her fitness.

Women in the City of Logan can improve their fitness and not hurt their hip pocket thanks to an initiative by Logan City Council.

Discounted Game on for Women gym and swim memberships are being offered as part of Council’s Women in Sport Initiative.

The program aims to advance women in sport, on and off the field.

For a short time, 12-month memberships are being discounted across Logan’s InSports gym and aquatic centres.

Council’s Women in Sport subsidy reduces the cost to $222 for the year.

A limited number of discounted memberships are available for female Logan residents aged 16 and older.

Any Logan women who play, coach or officiate sport and are committed to getting fitter should consider applying.

Memberships include:

* Advanced strength and conditioning assessments

* A personalised training program tailored to sporting goals

* Nutrition advice

Applications close on Friday, December 6.

To apply, complete the application form at logan.qld.gov.au/game-on-for-women

The discounted memberships apply to the following centres:

* Logan North Aquatic and Fitness Centre
