Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews are aware of a grass fire burning in inaccessible land at the bottom of the Gillies Range, Little Mulgrave. The fire broke out this afternoon and is posing no threat to property at this time. Fire crews will continue to monitor the fire over the coming days and a smoke haze may be visible to motorists at the bottom of the Gillies Range.
Nearby residents may be affected by a smoke haze throughout the day and overnight. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
