Attend or watch the Australia Day Ceremony in the morning at the Narrandera Sportsground, then try kayaking and river tours in the afternoon at Rocky Waterholes with good Aussie food during the day.

Events begin at Narrandera Sportsground from 7.30am, with breakfast available for purchase from the Narrandera Lions Club food van.

The Australia Day Ceremony and awards, as well as Narrandera Sports Awards, will be live-streamed via the Narrandera Shire Council Facebook page.

This year’s Australia Day Ambassador is Warren Potent, five-time Olympian and Olympic medallist for prone rifle shooter.

After the ceremony, have fun participating in the usual thong-throw and get a team together for the Tug O’ War with a perpetual trophy up for grabs.

Children will be able to participate in our Australiana scavenger hunt with prizes and gifts.

Barellan and Grong Grong will be holding their usual Australia Day gatherings, with live music a feature at both this year.

From 1pm meet us at Rocky Waterholes with free kayak hire for both adults and kids and pre-arranged tours.

Join one of the tours – some will be on the water and others on land.

Bookings are essential and you can also reserve kayaks to be assured of availability

Entry to each event is cost-free but must be pre-booked on the website (or if you’re unable to book online, please call the Narrandera Visitor Centre on 6959 5545).

Please go to https://narrandera.com.au/australiaday to book and remember to bring along your ticket (paper or digital) on the day.
