Jo Palmer, Minister for Prevention of Family Violence

Grants of up to $150,000 are now open for projects and services that support diverse Tasmanian communities facing family and sexual violence issues.

The Family and Sexual Violence: Supporting Diverse Communities Grants Program 2023-24 has four priority areas of funding:

  • Additional support and/or tailored service delivery;
  • Early intervention responses which address non-physical forms of violence;
  • Innovative solutions to increase operational capacity and/or build workforce capacity to respond to diverse communities; and
  • Improving evidence and data collection.

Minister for Prevention of Family Violence, Jo Palmer, said this important grants program is focussed on supporting inclusion, access and equity for diverse people and groups.

“We are targeting investment to assist vulnerable Tasmanians to limit barriers to support for family and sexual violence,” Minister Palmer said.

Applications for the grants program will close on August 1.
